Wrong gets to be right

I shared one of my life truths recently, one counseled into shape by a pastor and friend. When I shared, the woman listening to me silently nodded, with a small, nimble smile. Acknowledgement? Recognition? Shared fate? What about you?

I grew up in a household ruled by someone who always had to be right, and…when someone always has to be right, someone gets to always be wrong.… ...

Bye-bye Twinkies

It was 10:00 in the morning. My husband was away; we didn’t need any groceries, but I felt compelled to go to the store. I bought bananas, milk, and cereal although I’d already eaten breakfast after my morning walk.
