Sometimes you feel like you’ve asked too much.

Sometimes you’re just self-reliant. It’s not a stubborn belief in self, but determination to accomplish that drives.

Living Life as A Miracle with Her Majesty, the Queen

My husband and I have celebrated our anniversary in some spectacular fetes:

  • drinking darkly smoked beer among friends in Bamburg, Germany, a local delicacy that looked like Coke and tasted like bacon: it was unique!

  • sailing the Blue Danube on a river cruise from Budapest to Nuremburg, with the actual feast in an ancient cellar bar in Prague.

It’s just an orchid knit gown, fabric interwoven with gold lame thread.

Okay, it’s something special. Unique and Cinderella superb.

The dress was the prime item at a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Angels – and I looked like an angel in it, so of course I bought it, spending the inheritance before I knew it would be cut by one-third.… ...

Edgy and at ease

A widely accepted convention of love is that opposites will attract. It’s proof is under our roof:

  • my husband, whose natural skin tone is the tan to which I aspire, married the lassie of peaches-and-cream, skin that necessitates sun screen, not nonchalance.
